To be perfectly honest, when I think of a museum, I often times think of boring old artwork on a wall for people to stare at. Generally, I'm more amazing at the price than I am at the artwork itself.
However, what I learned from Terri and even during table topics session is that each piece of artwork truly does have a story behind it. That story brings out the worth of what people would normally see as just different colors put together. In general, museums hold a sentimental value that involves a sense of history, a story behind it all that we often times take for granted given how we're always looking for a quick fix of endorphins. I realized that museums are indeed something to be appreciated by us. I'm looking forward to the next one I get to visit. Take a step back, and learn something new! |
